Program Note: The melody (found in the bass line) of this piece is from the "Oxyrhynchus hymn," the earliest known Christian hymn ever discovered to contain both lyrics and musical notation, dating from around the end of the third century AD. I have kept the melody completely intact, only adding a simple two-part haromony to the original.
